Overhand LoopTie-in knots - rope up knots

Overhand Loop

Tie-in knots or rope up knots are used to tie into the end or somewhere into the middle of a rope.

The easiest tie-in knot is the Overhand Loop. Every child is able to learn it quickly.
The Overhand Loop is small and light knot, it fast to tie and it has a clear look, so it's quite easy to control if the knots is correct.

The disadvantage of the Overhand Loop is, that sometimes it's very hard work to untie it, after a heavy load i.e. a fall, especially if the rope is old already fat and fuzzy.

There are two different techniques to make the Overhand Loop:
1. the follow-through method
.. to tie directly into a harness
2. the standard method
